"I spent six months working with Thomas McCoy. My time spent with Thomas instilled skills that I continue to use in my career today. His knowledge and passion for food make learning enjoyable. Thomas has a positive philosophy towards food and the experience that food creates among people. His respect and appreciation for seasonal ingredients becomes contagious, compelling you to work with what's around you, rather than what you may be used to. Thomas is a passionate and comforting teacher; not once in our time spent together did I feel "dumb" or unskilled. He has the ability to say a complicated thing in a simple way, which I find to be the most important quality in someone willing to teach a complex craft. My time spent with Thomas gave me the skills and knowledge I needed to excel in my industry. Without Thomas teaching me in my early days, I would not be where I am today."

"Thomas was fantastic during our brunch lesson! He accommodated our preferences and also offered helpful suggestions on what to make when we asked. He taught us how to make a ham and gruyere frittata, banana and Nutella crepes, pancakes from scratch, and bacon. Everything turned out delicious, and I feel like I've gained not only skills and confidence for making these specific foods, but also skills that I can use for a lot of other dishes (for example, general knife skills, techniques for making different kinds of batters, and timing the preparation of multiple dishes when cooking for a larger group). Thomas was professional, explained everything thoroughly, answered our questions, and even gave us typed recipes for each dish so we can re-create them on our own. I would definitely take more lessons with Thomas in the future and would not hesitate to recommend him to others. This was a great experience."

" I recently had the great pleasure of having a cooking lesson with Thomas McCoy-loved every minute of it! He came to my friends house to teach us all about brunch staples-crepes, pancakes, and frittata were the main dishes. He communicated with us in advance, came super prepared with equipment and recipes, and was incredibly punctual with everything. We had fun, got involved in all aspects, took away new skills and cooking tips, and Thomas even included my three year old son (in helping whisk and stir). Food was delicious!! Very reasonably priced and I would for sure book him again for a family or friend event! "

"Thomas created a three course meal lesson for my friend and I. In that lesson I learned knife techniques, how to multitask courses, and time management among general cooking skills. Thomas is a very knowledgable cook; any questions I had he was able to answer and the recipes were delicious. I feel like I could recreate the recipes and would recommend him to anyone who is interested in learning to cook."
